I have called the pdoc on 2 different ocassions, it has taken her 2-3 days to get back to me & then tells me she hasn't looked at John's file. Also, found out that she finally spoke to the tdoc, who John has started seeing again, and tdoc said it was one sided conversation (her side). She left me a message saying she spoke to tdoc & they agreed that he should be seen in Dec., again hadn't looked at his file. Duh.

I spoke to tdoc for a recommendation for a new pdoc. She gave me a name of a pdoc in the same facility, that she has patients that see him, so they consult w/each other. I called him to see if he was accepting new patients. He called me back with in 1-2 hrs (he isn't even John's doctor). John sees current pdoc tomorrow & I'm telling her that it's just not working & I would like to switch.

I had my tdoc appt today & was told by the receptionist that the recommended pdoc isn't accepting new patients. I told her of my conversation w/him. I called tdoc, & left a message to see if she could recommend someone else. I told her I would like to get a call back today, before I sever ties w/pdoc. Did I say that the current pdoc is the co-founder of the facility. Go figure.

Sorry to hear that Jody. I hope things work out and John can see the pdoc the tdoc recommended. This just isn't good enough.

Taz saw pdoc last week & kept meds status quo. Told her that I wanted to switch pdocs. Told her of what my feelings were and that I didn't think John answered her questions either honestly or at all & she had to rely on me because he wouldn't talk w/her. She replied that she wasn't a therapist. I told her that I realized that, however you need to know his input on how he's feeling. She told me she was only in that office 1x a week. Told her who I wanted to switch to. She said when I make a decision, to let her know & if we want to change she will talk w/that doctor.

I called today to try to make an appt to see the other pdoc & they told me that he wasn't taking anymore patients. Again discussed conversation w/him & the reply was that he doesn't have access to his schedule, so he wouldn't know.

He sees tdoc tonight & I will see what she can do or who she could recommend.

The drama continues.

Sounds a bit fishy to me, Jody. The p-doc "doesn't have access to his (own?) schedule"????? I suspect that the current p-doc may have resented being "replaced" and had something to do with this. I may be off base, but it just sounds peculiar.

I was thinking the same thing Lynne. It sounds very suspicious that he was going to take on John's case and then all of a sudden he was mistaken about his schedule after you told the current pdoc you were thinking of switching. Either way it sounds like possibly you could be killing two birds with one stone and maybe this "new" one is not quite the right one either. Keep looking the answer is out there. Maybe your tdoc will have some great advice and a wonderful referral.

I've heard that too. That dr doesn't see his schedule, yet some have it right on their computer and look it up. I'm thinking that they do his schedule and he just does whatever it says, but I am sure they could easily look it up.
