the officer didn't know weather we'd have to be there or not, but let them know that we want to be notified when he does see him. He said more than likely, it won't go to court and the judge will just talk to him and decide what to do, which is usually probation, otherwise he'd either be sent home or stay in juvie until the court date.

Then the office said if the judge rights a note that he's hear about this case but cannot get to before the 36 hrs is up, he may longer, but if not, he will be sent home. So I am confused about that.

What will happen is he will get probation, do it again, then won't he go right back to juvie? or if he refuses to go?

well Amy who works for the courthouse called and wanted dh and I to talk about what we want to do with him. Two of our choices were take him home today and they'd schedule a hearing on Wed of next week, in 8 days, or let him sit in juvie until then. I really didn't want him home, but we wanted to see if it taught him anything and if not, I'd just call the police again. Bob wanted him to come home only because there is a parental fee for juvie. Whatever. Isn't Juvie like jail for kids? Don't us taxpayers pay for that stuff?

Anyway, we decided to bring him home. Actually we still didn't really know what we wanted, but Amy is worried about his being there with his mental illness.

Well we get into the courtroom and we had Luke on the phone from Juvie in another town. The judge read that we decided to have him come home, but then he talked to Luke. Luke sounded like he was in a good mood actually, at least a descent mood. He had a hard time hearing us so whenever someone had to talk we had to go right up to the phone.

The judge asked Luke if he wanted to stay where he was, and dh said the state prosecuter made an expression and held his hands out like "what?". Seems like he's never had a kid say he wanted to stay in juvie before. So we did have a few humurous moments there. I had mentioned in the report that he had mentioned killing in the rescent past and laughs about it.

The judge asked Luke if this was true and he said, "sometimes". Well the judge actually made up our minds for us. He didn't feel comfortable having him come home right now because of the killing comments, so Luke's still there for 8 more days until we have a did or didn't do hearing. That's what they called it (Amy). before and after court Amy, Leigh (case manager) and dh and I talked about residential again and how it didn't help.

Oh, in the courtroom, the judge asked Leigh what Bush's reason for letting him come home. Leigh told him that they said he had been doing good and he was stable, and the judge said, "oops". lol
