I am sooo mad at ds 13 yrs old w/ bp. I asked him to go in the back yard and pick up the trash he put there over the series of crafts and hoo haa he did over the past couple days. You'd think i asked him to clean Mt. Everest!!! I( well that would be his room) Oh my gosh!!! I lost it i started yelling and i KNOW I shouldn't. Sometimes this really gets to me and I just want to scream!
He can be such a huge brat and so mouthy! Man it makes me furious. I am in my room and typing like crazy because it is the only healthy outlet right now, I need to take a walk.
My oldest son has told me he is so frustrated b/c ds w/ bp does not respect his father and I and gets away with bad behavior.
This is depressing.....yep I am having a tea party with miss pity! Anyone else want to join my tea party?

DS 13 years old, BP and ODD gotta love it!!!! Waaaaa, I need a Waaaambulance!!!!

Really feeling sorry for myself. I'll go for a walk to let off some steam!

No you are not allowed. They are always right, always the victims, always picked on. If I try to even give my DD advice I am "nagging like usual."

That's what I hear constantly, it's MY fault, I am the one being unreasonable, blah blah blah. (I know, I know, I am the parent, he is the child, I'll get over my frustration soon over my corn pops cereal! )

Sorry for your rough day. Just had to chime in, too. (a bit tongue in cheek) No, you are not allowed to be right. You're a parent. Even with non-bp teens, we are never right. When they are, maybe, 30 or so, then we "start" to wise up and eventually, we can be right. *sigh*
We just have to do what WE know is right, and let go of wanting THEM to agree. Hang in there! Enjoy those corn pops! (much healthier than ice cream and sweedish fish!)

I agree , we are stupid and have no clue........ You made me laugh with the Waaaambulance!!!!! Too funny. I'm sorry he is being such a brat. I tell my other son that they are both individuals and will be handled as individuals(regarding the "he always gets away with blah, blah, blah) Now that ds- not bp is older he understands.

I know just what you mean! My dd also uses "getting mad" as her defense mechanism against anything she does not want to do. It could be something simple and age appropriate but I still get resistance if I tell her to DO anything or ASK HER to DO anything. It depends but oftentimes she ignores and won't acknowledge my request. If I repeat it, she becomes ANNOYED with me and gets pi**y about it. Then she still does not do it, LOL.

Hope it gets better! No, we are never right, like everyone else has said. I wanna come to the pity party.... I'm having one too. Should I bring anything besides tissues? lol Cheer up, Mom, someday they will thank us.

My son is also 13yo and has been such a jerk lately. He blames me for things he does, like if he drops something and I'm not even near him, "thanks mom, look what you made me do". You can see from my post that I'm very stressed about this. There's more than just the blaming. I hope your walk helped.
