Another week, another poll. If your reply includes stuff about your bipolar child/relative, please break it out into a separate post so that it can be
correctly archived and, most importantly, answered without being tangled up in another thread.

Well, I can truly say this week has been one of those bone jarring, teeth clenching weeks. One when you don't know when the next whip lash will occur. I
have a new favorite saying,
Sometimes He calms the stormI've been doing a lot of praying this week asking to calm my troubled soul. We had doctor's appts 3 days out of 5, 2 for Mother, one for Nick. Friday, my job share partner took her DH into the ER & they have a follow up appt tomorrow with an oncologist. Monday's are our busiest day. I'm not expecting a much better week. This evening I got a call from a cousin who is having a breast biopsy to check for breast cancer. She hasn't had a mammogram for 4 years because she couldn't afford it. The lump they found 4 years ago that they were going to watch, is now "suspicious." Please, ladies, if you haven't had a recent mammogram, do it.
Rayni, mom to Nick, 22, SSI, topamax, abilify, buspar, (Asperger's, bipolar, anxiety); prilosec
(reflux); zyrtec-D, nasal spray (allergies); metformin (insulin resistance)

I want to change my vote... ! Silly me. I thought I voted and spent time writing my update. Then realized I didn't hit the vote button. You guessed it, I
lost my post! Brain was definitely NOT engaged! sigh
Anyway, not much here. Did see my older granddaughter for 15 minutes this week. I'm frustrated with the pace of services... feeling punished for the mistakes of my dd. Why should I be denied access to my grandkids just because she messed up? So not fair. DD is supposedly evicted.. I thought by the 1st of July... She hasn't packed or made any plans.. We'll see what happens. She is now on meds for her bp! (sorry, forgot which one) We'll see if this helps. I'm heading to CA for a week to see Mom. Don't like the heat, but will be good to see her. She has saved all her projects for me! And my non-bp daughter will enjoy being home alone and independent. She'll do great. Rayni - hope your week goes better. Yes, prayer is vital in facing these weeks, and all weeks. Hope the rest of you are doing okay. Debbie

Deb, I hope you enjoy your week with your mom. You're right, so not fair to punish you for your daughter's mistakes, sigh.

We are in Victoria where it's been cool but sunny. Tomorrow is Canada Day and it will be interesting I think. I've not been here in high season before
when everything is open. We are staying in a cozy hotel in the city and enjoying the 'touristy' part of our trip. We walked in the park yesterday
afternoon and it was very nice. We are missing our grandson and I hope you get to see more of your granddaughter, Debbie.
