My cold is almost gone - thanks for asking, Heather. So far, aside from some relatively small bumps, things have been going pretty smoothly at Grove. There
are, of course, the usual, ongoing complaints about one kid or another "messing with" or mistreating her and the bunk counselor who "keeps
picking on me" - all completely without provocation and "for absolutely no reason," but then, what else is new?!?!?!? Her advisor was on
vacation all last week and I'm waiting for her to get briefed on what had been going on before calling her for an update. Nothing horrific, however, which
is always good news!

Let us know about the briefing, LOL. I like the way you phrased that. It sounds like you are in the military or something. Nothing horrific is often a real
positive with our kids.

Actually, Lynne, you sound much more peaceful. Other than your cold, I think you are getting some much needed rest!

It is so nice to know that you are experiencing a period of calm in your life. I would say that it's about time. Are you doing anything fun for you this
summer now that you can think about yourself?

Thanks, guys! Yes, I am most definitely calmer and enjoying the quietude! Unfortunately, I have neither time (I've used up all my vacation and sick
leave) nor money to "spend" on myself, so it's just work-as-usual for me. Lilah will be home from August 21 until September 9, so I have to save
my resources to keep her occupied during that time. We'll be going back to Montauk for four days on August 22. I wish it could be longer, but as it is
I'll be taking leave without pay. I guess Lilah will spend some time with Marissa at her summer house again, but other than that, there are no plans for
the rest of her vacation. I, of course, will have to work (except for the four days in Montauk). Sigh.................

Rest up and we will all hope that there is no drama while she is home!

I'm guessing it feels a bit like a vacation just having her at school after the drama before she left. I hope so at least. Do you have a friend to go to
the movies with or something equally mindless? I've rediscovered the 'cheapie' movie theater in our area with older movies showing. I like it
because they don't turn the volume way up like the expensive one.

Glad to hear that things are going smoothly Lynne right now. I hope that you can take some time for yourself to do fun things, even if they have inexpensive,
like reading a book or the movies as Terri suggested.
