I actually enjoy low ropes, and hope you will also. I like that the school is supporting you both and the overnight before the longer break sounds like a good
plan as well. So glad the report is good so far.

Maybe it isn't actually "ropes". We have a ropes course at camp and there were no actual ropes. However, there was a wall climbing thing....LOL!
Mental picture!
I am so honestly happy for you that you have some peace right now. You sure deserve it! Lilah must feel better too. I'm so happy for all of you!!!!!!!!!! hugs DS-Matt,18 ( WE MADE IT!!! ) : DSolder- 24 : DD- 22 Depression, dx May 2008, ADHD- dx age 9 refuses meds and NOT LIVING AT HOME BY HIS CHOICE "Rejoice in the Lord always. Terri, please explain to me what I have to "look forward" to with the low ropes. I haven't the slightest idea! Is it where you're in a
harness or seat and sail across a lake??? (oy-vey) Believe it or not, I do not have a digital camera, or I would gladly post a photo of the monumental
moment. I will bring my old relic 35 mm film camera, though, so it can be forever immortalized........................!!!
Thanks girls. So far, so good. I'm awaiting a callback from Lilah's advisor for a true report on how she's doing, but no hysterical calls from Lilah and no calls from the school to report any problems.

It's been some time, but the activities were team building and trust based. No heights involved and I don't think they covered any great distances.
I'm guessing you may have done some similar things already in your professional training. I had done some similar activities in teacher inservice. There
may have been a harness activity, but short and sweet. I had already done high ropes, so it seemed pretty tame.
The 'no calls' sounds encouraging. It at least indicates to me that they are in control and she isn't doing anything they aren't used to handling. I hope you can relax and enjoy. Terri dd is 23 |

Our ropes course was trust based too. It was a thing where people stand behind you and you allow yourself to fall back and hope they catch you. Another was
trying to get each other through rope thing that was about 4 feet off the ground. Another was trying to stand on a stump about 2 feet high and taking a board
while balancing on the stump.... trying to build a bridge with the board to allow your team to cross a "bridge". None of the things were dangerous or
over water.

How was the weekend?

Sorry to have kept you all on tenterhooks, but the mission was aborted! I came down with a bad sore throat on Saturday, which has since developed into a
full-blown cold, and I just didn't feel well enough to go. Needless to say, both Scemi and I were devastated!!!!!!!
Scemi picked Lilah up yesterday, though, because she has doctors'
appointments and her infusion today and tomorrow, and she'll return to school tomorrow afternoon. So far, things are OK.

Thanks, girls! It's so nice to feel that people care. My DD was only concerned about having to leave 2 hours later because I was not coming to drive her
back and she had to take the train with Scemi!

Poor girl, but she made it. They only think about themselves.... does that never end? Summer colds are the worst. Hope you are having a good day.
