Hi all and thanks for all the birthday wishes! Returned from Montauk in the evening on July 2nd and this is my first day back at work. Missed you all lots!!!
I need to get to work, but want to briefly report that this was the FIRST TIME EVER that there were no problems or dramas in Montauk.
![]() Lilah and Marissa presented me with a birthday cake at 9:00 a.m.
on my birthday and insisted that I eat the huge slab they gave me. It was so big that even I almost got sick! Gotta go do work and catch up on all
the posts I missed.

Lynne, that sounds awesome! I am soooo utterly relieved that you didn't have to be the bad cop the whole vacation and that you actually got some relaxation time in!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful report!! I'm so glad you had a wonderful and relaxing vacation and birthday. I'm so happy for you and for Lilah too. It was
great for her to see how nice things can be when she behaves herself. I hope she was able to see that.

Happy Birthday! Grove sounds great for Lilah and great in general. I think it would be good for Alex too but I can't afford it or justify it.

Of course she had to dig in her heels, eh? Oh, Lynne, sorry! Well, fill us in when you have some time to do so. I think you are becoming quite expert in
handling her shenanigans...an upside perhaps!

Just wondering how it's going with her being at school. When is her next home visit?

Hi Heather (and everyone),
For now, good news!!! Lilah got right back into
the swing of things at school and is doing great (again, at this moment!). She got all As and a B+ on her report card (for the two weeks she'd been there
prior to break) and moved up to her next level (her "15s") so she now can use her cell phone (ugh! ) and has to check in with staff every 15 minutes as opposed to having to be
within sight of staff 24/7. She was very excited yesterday and in great spirits. I truly think she likes Grove, but would never admit it. She was eager to
join the local health club (for which I had to pay $100 for the entire year!) and will start today - thinks she needs to lose weight and wants to exercise.
This club is reportedly "state of the art" and has every machine and gismo imaginable. We're not sure about her next home visit; I guess it
depends upon how things go. Her advisor seems to think that she should have one overnight before the next 2-1/2 week break at the end of August, but it's
up in the air right now.
Next week Scemi and I go up twice - Wednesday for family therapy and Sunday for Parents' Workshop, where we will "take part in some hands-on activities" that are part of their "therapeutic recreation program" (i.e., the "low ropes initiatives" - can't you just imagine Scemi and me swinging on a rope across a lake? )
Anyway...........things are A-OK!!! (until the next fiasco. )

Wow a great report. I am so happy that you and Scemi FINALLY have some relief from the stress and drama and can relax, knowing that Lilah is in a safe place,
seems happy, and is actually DOING WELL ACADEMICALLY. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

What a wonderful report! I know she would certainly NEVER admit to actually LIKING it there! It sounds wonderful and yes, I can imagine you swinging from tree
ropes, both you and Scemi, what a picture! LOL!
