:welcome3 to our community. I agree with everything that Elaine wrote. I also feel you need to have your son evaluated by a child psychiatrist, realizing that may be hard to come by in a remote part of Alaska.

Perhaps for starters you can have a conference with your child's doctor and ask him/her to consider an evaluation for bipolar disorder and make a referral to a psychiatrist with experience in bipolar disorder. You may have to travel to see this psychiatrist, but I feel it would be worth the considerable effort it would take.
