I love the Exposive Child. In hindsight that probably would have been better to just let her get out and let every one else in. I had no idea that she was so attached to that seat. And for pete's sake, she's 14. You don't expect a 14 year old to have a temper tantrum over a seat in a car. My 11 and 8 year olds would gladly switch seats for no good reason just because I asked them to. KWIM?

The schools had a 2 hour delay today but the roads were fine this afternoon for Jenny's pdoc appt. I didn't even tell her she had an appt until 5 minutes before we had to leave for the appt that way she didn't have time to get upset and anxious. On the way to the appt, I told her if she cooperated, I would make her sphagetti tomorrow night for dinner. happy I thought that would make her happy but actually it made her even more anxious and upset. Grrr. The pdoc ended up increasing her geodon to 120mg. He said that the mood stabilizing properties kick in around 120mg hence the increase. Also yesterday Jenny had a panic attack at school and had to go to the nurses office to take a klonopin. She had a much calmer night last night and woke up this morning much happier. So the pdoc wanted to try adding a afternoon dose of klonopin. She already takes a morning and evening dose. I'm going to wait on that until after she's used to the geodon increase. He also ordered an EKG and a ton of lab work including thyroid labs. He talked to Jenny about her excessive sleeping. He doesn't feel her going to bed at 6:30 is healthy behavior. He wants her to work on going to bed later as in 8pm and on taking her meds later. When he said that she gave me a look of sheer panic and almost jumped off of the couch in his office. LOL The pdoc happened to be looking at her and saw how upset she was. He asked if she thought she could do that and she said no. He said that was ok. He was thinking she could start by staying up 15 minutes later a week. Jenny still said no. He said eventually she would be able to do that when she was feeling better.

So it looks like I'll be making sphagetti tomorrow since Jenny did "cooperate" even though all of her answers were one word answers and most of them weren't loud enough for the pdoc to hear or understand so I had to repeat them for him. I still count that as "cooperating". smile
