Yes, here we are equipped to deal with the snow. Plows were ready waiting when the forecasters saw this storm coming. I also have all-wheel drive on my car, which is a must as far as I am concerned, in Ohio. We simply waited for the plows to do their job. The snow kept coming so it was difficult for the roads to get cleared totally. Once the snow stops, the plows can really do their work. Of course we have tons of salt, both the rock salt and the liquid variety. So, I can see how all that snow can stop a city in its track when they are not accustomed to it. Even here, there were a bunch of accidents once the snow started because some people who live here really still have a problem driving in snow! Plus, conditions can vary within short distances. I find it best to stay with roads I am familiar with. I did all my errands yesterday and the roads were just fine. Everyone has snow piled up next to the driveway aprons so it is a bit hard to see driveways and such even at stores, etc.
