Apparently, he does spend a lot of time doing the assessment before making the dx. That is why he only takes new patients 2X per year. The other one we could get in faster but he does the dx in a single visit.

From what I have been told, the provincial health plan only plans them the equivalent of an hour long pdoc visit but the assessment actually takes half a day to a day. So only ped's who are on salary at a hosp do the assessments. This one works at the Hospital for Sick Kids in downtown Toronto and has an excellent reputation. He also has offices in other locations; one is near me. Well sort of anyway. At least I won't have to battle downtown traffic and pay $20 to park. Or there is the train but then there is no parking at the train station.

Alex told me last night some kids were videotaping him with their cell phones at school yesterday as another smaller kid knocked him down on the ice and they thought it was funny. They were going to put it on youtube but the video didn't work for some reason. This pisses me off. Of course, he doesn't tell anyone. I searched youtube and couldn't find anything so I am thinking of dropping it; especially since the principal is so difficult to deal with. She is retiring the end of this year.
