Give him 2 hugs for me! I love when my DS is affectionate because that is such a fleeting time, you know?!
Anyway -- I know I don't "get" Canada's way of doing health care (you probably think some of what we go through is ridiculous, too) -- but how can a developmental pediatrician only see new patients 2 days a year?! And you are not in some backwoods community, so for there to only be 2 of these types of dr.'s makes it really baffling that this dr. finds it acceptable to only see new patients 2 days a year! OH MY GOODNESS!
The thing is that if you have someone who doesn't spend enough time with your child, you might not get a complete assessment. So -- if your developmental pediatrician only sees new patients 2 days he will be very busy that day and may not allocat the time/attention to Alex that he deserves.
JMHO....good luck, kiddo. You need a break with Mr. Alex. I bet he is driving you up a wall!
