I'm glad the pdoc was on top of things and advised you. It's really tough to find the golden mean -- enough mediction to have them get a good night's sleep but not so much that they are groggy during the day or feel dizzy like your DD.

When HJ was in high school, she was on many different med experiments. Strattera was one that really fatigued her. The first times she was on it, she fell asleep getting ready for school. It never did a thing for helping her focus or concentrate but did act as a tranquilizer and anti-anxiety med -- something it wasn't designed to do.

There were times when it was very hard for her to get a good night's sleep, even with huge amounts of Seroquel. During one particularly difficult time, she was getting up to 1200mgs of Seroquel and still was up and down at night. Thankfully those days are over, at least for now.

I am confident that, if you keep working with the pdoc and reporting your observations, you and he will find the right med cocktail that will work for your DD so she sleeps good but is alert during the day for school.
