My dd refused tennis, softball, tae kwon do, volleyball, cheerleading, etc. I signed her up for many activities. When it came time to go, she would have a major meltdown (this is prior to a BP diagnosis). I never could figure out what her problem was. One day when I took her to TKD, she bit me in the parking lot. I never signed her up for another class or sport thereafter. She did voluntarily do cheerleading until she got so bad emotionally and hearing voices that she couldn't follow the choreography anymore. It was very sad. Of course, at that time, I also did not realize WHY...until later. It's when I started to get really scared for her, though.

I think any individual sport like swimming or track are good choices. What does the school offer? Anything to burn off lots of extra energy seems like a good idea, too but anything too competitive might be TOO MUCH for our kids.
