Yes, Lorraine and the others are right. Being in a group of kids doesn't guarantee anything. The kids very commonly will "stand guard" while a couple sneaks into a room or bathroom to have sex. Anything goes these days is the truth, and Chris is right that things have changed from even ten years ago. Sex today with teens is as casual as taking a carnival ride or smoking a cigarette. Kids will have sex anywhere and everywhere in a house even with parents in the house but in another room. We all agree here that twelve is too young.

In the dark ages when I as growing up and when I was raising my "first family" (now in their late 30's to mid 40's), there were guidelines that kids shouldn't date until they were sixteen, that they could go out in groups at fourteen etc. But all of those rules are worthless now. Groups are no longer safe, sad to say.
