Hi there and welcome. I don't have experience with bipolar on one that young... My son was probably 7 or 8 before he started exhibiting any symptoms.

Do you have the genetics in your family to support a possible bipolar diagnosis?

Also, have you ruled out all the other stuff that could mimic bipolar? I think that's so important - there's so many things that can look like a mood disorder... Seizure disorders, food allergies (especially like wheat or dairy - these can totally jack with behavior!), sensitivities to red dye...

:sigh - I know it's just sooooo overwhelming - so many things it "could" be... I would just really work hard to rule out everything else under the sun before going the med route.
