These attorney ads are just classic ambulance chasing, in my opinion. Seroquel has been found to cause Type 2 diabetes and some other serious side effects in a small minority of patients; and it is the subject of a current class action lawsuit.

This does not mean that Seroquel is a bad med and is going to be pulled off the market. But just yesterday Hilary got a letter from her HMO asking her to have a fasting lipids test to rule out Type 2 Diabetes. It is obviously a precaution that the HMO has decided to take because of this lawsuit mania.

Hilary of course has Type I, Juvenile Onset, Diabetes; but, unknown to most, it is a different illness from Type 2, Adult Onset, Diabetes. And it is possible for someone to have the one type and then get the second type also.
